Chris Columbus
, past director of the Harry Potter movies & current producer of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban told SCI FI Wire that he's impressed with how director Alfonso Cuarón has assumed the director's chair for the next movie.
Columbus, who has already seen Azkaban three times says this about the movie:
"As a director I've always been excited about sequences. In Azkaban, that kind of scene for me is the first attack on the train by the Dementors. It's such a beautifully directed scene that Alfonso has done. I remember that scene immensely. And there's also Harry's (Daniel Radcliffe) first ride on the hippogryph, which is just magical and poetic. I keep thinking about those scenes constantly and [also about] how proud I am to be involved in them, but mostly how wonderful a job Alfonso has done as a director.

I'm glad to see that columbus enjoyed the 3rd movie. Columbus did a really good job on the first two movies, I want him to come back and do another. I loved how he decided to make Draco's hair slicked back, it made Draco look evil. But by watching the trailors I can tell Cuaron did an amazing job with PoA. I'm excited for it coming out in less than a month. Great article, thanks for posting!

They spelled hypogriff wrong.. they spelled it as "hippogryph." but it's excusable. i'm glad chris columbus likes PoA. he said a lot of good stuff about it, which is great. it doesn't seem like there's a lot of negative reviews about PoA out there yet.

That last trailer made me trust Cuaron with all my heart. Haha.

With someone as talented as Cuaron at the helm the film is never going to be short of amazing - I seriously reccomend you check out his previous efforts. Very nice to see Columbus saying these things :)

Did they spell "hippogryph" wrong? I thought it was "hippogriff."
