I personally thought that the skit was incredibly stupid and so not funny. I mean no where in the books does it have the twins and harry and ron gaggling over hermione! It was rude and disrespectful to JK Rowling

I just started to download the video of the Harry Potter sketch from SNL to watch it for the first time, as I could not watch it on Saturday night due to church the following morning for my confirmation.
By the sound of other posters, it doesn't offend most of the fandom by parodying J.K. Rowling's works while still being funny.

I'm glad I stayed up to watch it on Saturday. I thought it was hilarious. Probably not for the younger viewers, though.
I thought the attention to detail was cool too. Was it Will Forte as Snape? I thought he was really funny. I hope to see that episode again soon, because I stopped watching after the HP skit (I'm glad it was early on in the show) because I was supposed to get up early the next morning.

They also all look very funn, but I didn't see the video so don't blame me for everything.... also I think who acted as Harry is a woman? Nah, I didn't see the video to make sure, but I think it will be quite, sort of humorous but not really, I don't really care, so...yeah..

Okay, I don't see how any of you thought that was funny. SNL has gone completely down the tube. I'm sure there are ways that they could have made this sketch funny, but they didn't do any of them. They spent 5 minutes talking about Hermione's chest. Is that necessary? The person who played Harry used basically the same character she uses for every other character she is....same with Hagrid.
That show needs major help, and I'm embarrassed that they would use children's books in such a crude manner.
