An acting agency has confirmed to CBBC Newsround
that the part of Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire will be played by Londoner Robert Pattinson, who will be appearing in the upcoming Vanity Fair film, playing Rawdy Crawley and a German film called Kingdom In Twilight according to Newsround.

Well, Cedric is supposed to be handsome, so I think this guy'll work. The Warner Bros. casting guys and gals have done a great job getting actors and actresses from relative obscurity to preform well in the Harry Potter films - let's just hope they've done it again with Pattinson.

I can't wait to see all the new news coming out about GoF and no Alex Seeker it's not bad... I can't wait either... it just keeps getting better and better... As to the actor, I'm sure he'll do a great job. They wouldn't have taken that role lightly, I hope they actually show a lot of him in the movie and don't end up cutting it all out.

I've been doing a lot of searching and Robert Pattinson is NOT Rawdy Crawley in "Vanity Fair" (2004). That role is played by a James Purefoy...and he (James) is a hottie.
But, that still doesn't take away from the fact that Robert is actually listed at the IMDB for "Kingdom in Twilight" (2004).
