She answers questions about Arthur Weasley (Ron's dad), Tom Riddle (the future Voldemort) and what is the relation between Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (book 2) and the upcoming book six.
Why are some people in the wizarding world (e.g., Harry) called 'half-blood' even though both their parents were magical?
The expressions 'pure-blood', 'half-blood' and 'Muggle-born' have been coined by people to whom these distinctions matter, and express their originators' prejudices. As far as somebody like Lucius Malfoy is concerned, for instance, a Muggle-born is as 'bad' as a Muggle. Therefore Harry would be considered only 'half' wizard, because of his mother's grandparents.
If you think this is far-fetched, look at some of the real charts the Nazis used to show what constituted 'Aryan' or 'Jewish' blood. I saw one in the Holocaust Museum in Washington when I had already devised the 'pure-blood', 'half-blood' and 'Muggle-born' definitions, and was chilled to see that the Nazis used precisely the same warped logic as the Death Eaters. A single Jewish grandparent 'polluted' the blood, according to their propaganda.

This really answered some good questions, but then again it brought up whole new ones. Like what does Harry discover in Chamber of Secrets that will be foreshadowed in HBP? This is very interesting and it just makes me all the more excited for book six! That was really neat that JK did that, I definetly have to check out her site to see more background... Half Blood Prince here we come!!

Is it me or am I speculating. But when she answered the question on the half-blood thing, she says that Lily's grandparents were muggles, what about LIly's parents? Could it have been a typo? Though I can't see her making a mistake like that when she's carefully answering the questions...hmmmmmm.

I don't really like his character but anyways!
On the other hand Harry showed some of his unusual powers in the order of the phoenix when he did magic without his wand...and he did it in the chamber of secrets when he talked parcel and all that...
So i think that this new discovery has something to do with Harry's own powers and identity, and his link to Voldemort...I don't know how that could relate to Neville hehe but what do you guys think???

I can't wait until the book comes out so that it can answer all of our questions for ourselves. It also makes me sad, because the series is almost over. We won't have any more books to look forward to if she stops at 7.

Arthur's not going to be the Minister of Magic - that's a shame. What was that rule about 'Ron is usually wrong except when he's joking ... Something in a book by a person named Galadriel Waters? (Can hear hundreds of threads on HP forums all around the net coming to a dead end.)

But as for the whole half-blood, pure-blood thing, I think it was very inventive of her to get it from the Nazis, it just makes sense.
