Harry Potter actress Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) will take part in the lighting of the Oxford Street Christmas Lights on Monday, Nov. 15. Ms. Watson will join other celebrities to take part in the turn-on of the light display which is being sponsored by the Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban DVD release. There will also be a Harry Potter themed light show each night through Jan. 5.
"This year's Oxford Street Christmas Lights will be more magical than ever before as characters from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban brighten up Britain's biggest shopping street. To delight all Harry Potter fans even more, each night there will be a spectacular Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban light show. During this breathtaking display, the spellbinding 21st century lights will be choreographed to the film's soundtrack, with a finale of Harry casting the Patronus charm."

Ah, to be in London during the Christmas season. But somehow, Christmas and the Prisoner of Azkaban just don't seem to work together in my mind. Oh, well.

that is really cool that she gets to help do that. Its not everyday that you get to just go turn on huge amounts of lights for a town.

Hmmm.... and why can't Rupert Grint or Dan Radcliffe partake in this? I feel glad for Emma, but they could've extended the invitation a bit. Anyway, it's quite a shame I don't live in London (or New York City for that matter) since during the holidays seasons it sounds like quite a nice place to be at.

The Harry Potter Christmas Light Show sounds neat. Too bad I live so far away from London. So, the fans in England get the DVD 3 days before we do in America.
