An eagle-eyed reader has spotted a minute change over at JK Rowling's official site.
According to Kara some of the content on the front page of Rowling's site changed to read: "...and where I can announce I've finished book seven... and no, that's not going to happen very soon." Does this mean we will be hearing more news about Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince soon?
Rowling's previous entry read:
This is where I can tell you the truth about rumours or news stories, where I can share the extra information I haven't put in the books, where I can give you hints and clues about what's going to happen to Harry next, and where I can announce I've finished book six... and no, that's not going to happen very soon.
The new entry now reads:
This is where I can tell you the truth about rumours or news stories, where I can share the extra information I haven't put in the books, where I can give you hints and clues about what's going to happen to Harry next, and where I can announce I've finished book seven... and no, that's not going to happen very soon.
TLC also linked to Google's cache showing the old page. Nobody seems to know when the exact change happened or if this means that book six is nearly done, completely done or if we will be getting a publication date anytime soon.

How wonderful!! J.K has finally finished book six!! It is very clever of her. I checked her site and there it is, hidden in the welcome note. I am not sure that I would have found it because she never changes the welcome note. But I guess that is the perfect place to hide something, somewhere no one will look. One question though, why would J.K want to hide such great news??

Wow! I read that when JKR first updated her site and I didn't even notice that it read for book seven. I just assumed she was talking about HBP. Oh I hope that HBP comes out soon.

HOORAY!!! Thats awesome!! Maybe she is just planning ahead. We will have to keep an eye out though...she might go back and change it, like she did with the "reading 22 chapters" and "proofreading 22 chapters". I'm still thinking (and hoping) for an announcement as a Christmas present!!!

Oh, Wouldn't it be absolutely lover-ly if these were indeed the lead-up to her announcement. We know JKR will release the information first on her website. I so wish that we had some glimmer of a date. She amazes me...so no rush...but I'm keepin' my fingers crossed for a summer release!

This gives me so much hope! When I read that all these bookstores were getting memos i was so excited. When they said that it was false, i was angry. Now this new theory is quite good so if this one turns out to be false, i'll be upset again. Up and down it's like a freakin roller coaster. Anyway, good luck! Hope for the best!
