Amazon UK has apologizedopens in new window to customers who pre-ordered Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince after it sent an e-mail saying it would not be available and to look for it elsewhere.

The same mistake occurred in December with Amazon.com in the U.Sopens in new window. The company said it sent "howlers to the muggles responsible" and were investigating a link to Lord Voldemort.

Half-Blood Prince, the sixth book out of seven in JK Rowling's Harry Potter series, will be released July 16 in the U.S. and UK, among other English-speaking countries.
