Once again Amazon
is guaranteeing that if you order Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince from them it will be delivered on Saturday, July 16 in the U.S., the UK and Canada, the date of its official release.
In Canada, Amazon.ca has teamed up with Canada Post to deliver the book and in the U.S. Amazon.com will be working very closely with UPS and the U.S. Postal Service. Amazon.co.uk has also updated their site stating that they will also deliver the book on it's release date.

Building on the success of the last Harry Potter special Saturday delivery, Canada Post is excited to be working with Amazon.ca to deliver the sixth installment in the series to thousands of fans on the book's launch date. With this customized delivery solution, using our Xpresspost service, Amazon.ca customers living within our Saturday delivery areas can enjoy the convenience of having this much-anticipated book delivered to their homes, hot off the press.
Vice President of North American media products, Greg Greely, had this to say:
We are thrilled to offer Amazon.com customers the option of guaranteed Saturday delivery for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, so the book can arrive at their doors on the day it's released. Together with UPS and the U.S. Postal Service, we look forward to delighting hundreds of thousands of Harry Potter fans across the country on July 16.
There are a few restrictions so please make sure that you review your order on Amazon to make sure that you will receive the book on July 16.

Thats good, but i had a bad experience with .co.uk for the OOTP. I pre ordered in January(6 months in advance) was told i'd get it on the release date. But when the day came, no book, just an e-mail saying i had to wait a further two weeks because of demand. (I have no will power so i went to the nearest shop and bought a copy.) I'm sure they learned from last time and i'm glad to here the post guys are helping out!! Thanks Amazon for your work in keeping with demand!

YES!!! I was wondering how long after everyone else received theirs that I would get mine in the mail! I may not get it at midnight... but at least I'll get mine on the same day. With as many pre-sold as there are, I wonder how same day delivery will affect the postal service(s). Should be interesting!~
