HPANA moved to new datacenter

Thanks to generous contributions from fans, HPANA has purchased a top-of-the-line Dell server and taken up residence in a new datacenter as of today! After years of growth (and strain), we'll finally be able to open the floodgates and develop some great new tools for Harry Potter fans. Stick around for a few years more, we'll be here.
Donations to Server Fund 3 exceeded $2,500 and allowed us to purchase a Dell PowerEdge 2850, upgrades and software licenses totalling over $4,000.
As you may know, running a web site that has become as unexpectedly, insanely large as HPANA costs a lot of money. To make up for it, we have included ads on the site for some time now. Members who donate at least $10 get nearly all of those ads removed for an entire year, as a special thank you for contributing.
HPANA will be around for many more years, and will continue to bring fans exciting new services and features. YOU have made that all possible with your continued readership and interest. On behalf of HPANA's entire staff, thank you. We look forward to serving Harry Potter fans for a long time.

I really have to say that to me HPANA is on the very few websites that I love. I just like the way things run around here. I like specially the comments from fans all over the world. I just hope that HPANA keeps bringing us news of Harry Potter. You guys do a wonderful job everyday.

Awesome! I can't wait to see the difference. Especially when the book and film are coming out this year I know the site will naturally slow a bit due to the increased traffic but I'm patient. Hopefully the new server will help that situation a bit. I hope more people will see how much our support helps the HPANA staff and can donate to the site. It's my second year donating and I'm very pleased with everything I get - a great community of HP fans and up-to-the-minute news. Worth every penny :D Thanks HPANA!

Thats great, I love hearing about updates. But I don't really find HPANA that slow, maybe its just my computer but I don't really notice it, I think HPANA is one of the better Harry Potter sites around. Its the only one I'm a member of and the only site I go on regularly, it has an amazing layout, and is just so well designed! I LOVE it!
