In this week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly
, Harry Potter director Mike Newell discusses the fact that he is nervous about showing Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire to movie executives in two weeks. The article also states that work has started on Order of the Phoenix and that Daniel Radcliffe will return: "My enthusiasm has absolutely not gone down."
"I'm terribly pleased with the film," says director Mike Newell (Donnie Brasco) of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, the fourth movie adapted from J.K. Rowling's series of novels, due Nov. 18. In two weeks, Newell will screen his work (minus completed special effects) for Warner Bros. brass for the first time. Nervous? "Of course!" he says. "This is a story where the kids [are] now teenagers. Is the audience ready for an older Harry Potter? They bought the book--I just hope we present a Harry Potter they want to see." Couldn't have set the stakes better ourselves.
Work has begun on the fifth film, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. British TV veteran David Yates will direct, and screenwriter Michael Goldenberg follows Steven Kloves. Harry is still good to go. "My enthusiasm has absolutely not gone down," says Daniel Radcliffe, 15, who wouldn't rule out doing a non-Potter film before starting part 5 in January. "But it would be a mistake to want to show you can do stuff other than Harry Potter so badly that you just rush into something."
This week's issue with Tom Cruise on the cover hits newstands today.
Reminder: Since Warner Bros. has not yet released the cast list for Order of the Phoenix please treat this as a rumor till confirmed.

Oh that's so great that Dan R. is going to be in the next movie! Let's hope he'll continue with movie six and seven! I can't see anyone else playing Harry now.
I'll be sorry to see Steve Kloves go though. I think he's done a fabulous job helping the books translate to the screen.

Thats wicked, I'm really hoping they all get confirmed to be in the OotP, I mean it would be sooo incredibley weird watching the OotP with different actors portraying all of the characters.

I'm so glad that Dan will be back. I hate to admit it, but he's the the reason I'm excited about the movie. I love the movies, but they could never be as good as the books.

I am glad Dan is going to join OotP, I hope the entire trio will. They are getting older ofcourse, bur so are their characters! I don't see the problem.
It is also good that hthey are pleased with the new film. I am looking really forward to it:-)

I already knew he was doing the fifth one, so I just want to know who else will be in it. Hopefully the full cast will return, because I think it is a bad idea to replace anyone this late into the series. I just hope that Jo can keep up, becuase the sixth book isn't even published yet, and there about to start filming the fifth movie. One more to write!

You know, I think it would be weird, but interesting, to see Dan in a non-Potter movie. What kind of character would he play? In the Harry Potter movies, they've played so many different personalities, so I think he'd do reall well.
Even though Newell is nervous, the film sounds really cool. I can't wait to see it!
