In this week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly
, Harry Potter director Mike Newell discusses the fact that he is nervous about showing Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire to movie executives in two weeks. The article also states that work has started on Order of the Phoenix and that Daniel Radcliffe will return: "My enthusiasm has absolutely not gone down."
"I'm terribly pleased with the film," says director Mike Newell (Donnie Brasco) of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, the fourth movie adapted from J.K. Rowling's series of novels, due Nov. 18. In two weeks, Newell will screen his work (minus completed special effects) for Warner Bros. brass for the first time. Nervous? "Of course!" he says. "This is a story where the kids [are] now teenagers. Is the audience ready for an older Harry Potter? They bought the book--I just hope we present a Harry Potter they want to see." Couldn't have set the stakes better ourselves.
Work has begun on the fifth film, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. British TV veteran David Yates will direct, and screenwriter Michael Goldenberg follows Steven Kloves. Harry is still good to go. "My enthusiasm has absolutely not gone down," says Daniel Radcliffe, 15, who wouldn't rule out doing a non-Potter film before starting part 5 in January. "But it would be a mistake to want to show you can do stuff other than Harry Potter so badly that you just rush into something."
This week's issue with Tom Cruise on the cover hits newstands today.
Reminder: Since Warner Bros. has not yet released the cast list for Order of the Phoenix please treat this as a rumor till confirmed.

Wow! I am so excited about GOF, I've been watching the teaser non-stop and it looks awesome! I seriously think it will be the best movie so far. Have you noticed that the movies are really catching up with the books? I can't believe they've already began OoTP. I hope Rupert and Emma come back with Dan because it would be extremely weird if other people took their place, no matter how talented of an actor they are. Emma and Rupert have already, in our minds, established themselves as Hermione and Ron and if they change those up it will really hurt the movies.

Im glad what the director is saying about the film being a bit more grown up, i don't think that the film will have qutie the effect it should if it is more targeted at the younger fans.

I am so excitedto see this movie when it comes out in November and I am glad that Dan will be back for at least the next film. At this point I think it would just be to difficult to change around the main characters.

THat is so cool because iI thought it would be the last film Dan acts in as he is getting older for the character.But it is a great relief to hear that we are going to see more of him. I just hope that the trio finish all of the harry potter films because changing an actor now would make the movie lose some of its magic.

Well, since the orignial cast will most likely be appearing OotF, it would be stupid to get different actors for only two movies. I say if they'll do 5, they'll do 7.
