Tabloid British paper, The Mirror, is reporting that Helen McCrory
, has signed on to play Bellatrix Lestrange in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Ms. McCrory recently appeared in Charlotte Gray, and The Count of Monte Cristo.
According to the article:
The producers are trying to keep the cast a secret until it's all sealed. But they are really keen on Helen. They think she has the gravitas and looks to pull off the part of Bellatrix.
The article also reports that Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson are signed on again in to play Harry, Ron and Hermione.
We are trying to confirm this report with Warner Bros. and as soon as we hear anything we will let you know.

I'm happy Emma, Rupert, and Dan signed on for the fifth movie. I know that a lot of people think they are getting too old for the roles, but I don't think the movies would be the same unless they had the same trio throughout.

I can't wait for the movie to come out. It is a good thing that I can reread Half Blood Prince about 50 times before then to keep myself occupied. The teasers don't help with the anticipation. And the pictures make it even worse. She looks like Bellatrix that I had pictured in my mind so that is good and I'm glad that Harry, Ron and Hermione will all be the same actors again. I think they should stay for all the films.

She's not very Bellatrix-ish in my opinion, but whatever. The mvies characters never turn out how I imagined them anyway so let them do whatever they want. I do hope they find someone better, no offence.

I thought she was very good in "The Count of Monte Cristo." She was kind of evil in that, so I think she'd be very good for the part. She doesn't look exactly like Bellatrix to me, but she is definitely close enough.
