Music composer Patrick Doyle
, who is currently working on Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire comments on being lucky to be chosen to score the movie, the amount of work it has been, his favorite scores and his battle with leukemia.
Doyle on working on the score:
You have to be at the top of your game all the time to keep on top of it. I read the script before they started shooting. My involvement has gone on for a year, and I've written zillions of themes for it. People who have read the book will know that it is very dense in terms of its storyline, and all of the imagery is very big.
Doyle has previously worked with director Mike Newell
on Donnie Brasco and Into the West and will start work on Eragon next year.

I just can't wait for the score!!! This is my favorite aspect to filmmaking. I just hope he captures the HP essence, which I'm sure he will. I really enjoy his other scores and think that between Doyle and Newell, the film will feel more British than the previous.

Excellent, the comments are up and running again!
Based on what we've heard so far, I think Doyle has done a brilliant job with the music. Not as good as John Williams of course, but brilliant nonetheless.

I like the music from movies 1 and 2. I think in the third film the music kinda got "bland".
But I hope Doyle does a great job!

The trailer music certainly is good.
I find that movie music generally is good. If you like the movie, you will associate the music with what happens in it (your favourite scenes).

I loved the music from the Prisioner of Azkaban, I seem to find myself constantly listening to it becasue it is very relaxing. So I just hope the Goblet of Fire is as good. Music is extremely important in setting the mood of any film and seeing as he is battling with Leukemia I'm sure he has put every ounce of his best into it!
