Music composer Patrick Doyle
, who is currently working on Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire comments on being lucky to be chosen to score the movie, the amount of work it has been, his favorite scores and his battle with leukemia.
Doyle on working on the score:
You have to be at the top of your game all the time to keep on top of it. I read the script before they started shooting. My involvement has gone on for a year, and I've written zillions of themes for it. People who have read the book will know that it is very dense in terms of its storyline, and all of the imagery is very big.
Doyle has previously worked with director Mike Newell
on Donnie Brasco and Into the West and will start work on Eragon next year.

Well from that international teaser trailer that was posted everywhere, it seems that the Music in this movie is going to rock...unless that isn't the actaul music...which i hope it is.

Oh my gosh I didn't know they were making a movie of Eragon also!?
They don't have the music done for GoF? Doesn't it come out in November. Seems late in the game to still be working on the music.

I love the music for the Harry Potter movies. Since Warner Bros. changed the composer for this movie, I'm anxious to see if it will be as good.

Woooww. Someone else is doing the music??? After 3 films, I'm really used to John Williams. I HOPE that Patrick Doyle (love that name, btw) uses the same themes in his music as John Williams did. You know what I mean? Like the classic HP opening song, I think it's called Hedwig's Theme, and it's "da DA, da da DA, da DA da," well it can't be described in words but you all know what I'm talking about. Well I have high hopes for this guy, but I'm scared... aaaargh why do all the movies have to be different? Each one (other than the first two) has a new director, all new sets, just new everything and they are all sooooo different from each other, it drives me crazy!!! At least the 3 main actors are the same. Well I love music so I know it will be good, I just need to be accepting of change...

Woohoo! Comments are back!
I hope this composer is just as good or better than John Williams, because he did a great job with all three movies. I absolutely love all of the soundtracks, and I hope GoF won't be any different!

I'm glad to hear he was so dedicated to the job. I was a litle worried about not having John Williams back for it, but it sounds like he will do an admirable job.

Yeah for comments!
My son and I are very excited about the new themes to come out--he likes to play the others on the piano. My son was originally skeptical about the change of composer, but since he saw the lie about Patrick Doyle doing Eragon as well--let's just say he's over the to about the whole thing!!
I pray for Patrick's wellness...
