, Imelda Staunton has been cast for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix movie. The Academy Award-nominated actress is reportedly going to portray Dolores Umbridge, a new professor sent to spy on Professor Dumbledore and to control Hogwarts school.
However, no official word has been released by Warner Brothers.

It would be awesome if Staunton plays Umbridge because she looks (and will probally act) just like Umbridge in the books.

Well, she does kinda sorta remind me of Umbridge somehow, but she looks too young... and too happy, hehe. But this is not like official or anything, so I'm not gonna start complaining, just yet...

From the picture she doesn't look like Umbridge, but maybe with makeup and costumes she will. Hopefully she can play evil really well. I'm sure she can sice she was cast.

She looks very much like the Umbridge I imagined, except she should be more toad-like with sort of puffy protuberant eyes. But make-up does wonders so I think she'd be a great choice!

Not how I though of her, I was of the opinion that Miriam Margoyles would make a brilliant Umbridge, but she's already profreesor Sprout, so a bit late... oh well, she got a BAFTA this year for best actress, so i suppose she'll be good at it...
