Tabloids love exploiting (and paraphrasing and exaggerating) quotes about celebrities to hype up stories and increase readership. Doing so about Harry Potter isn't new, and the Daily Record hit a home run yesterday by claiming
star Daniel Radcliffe is "dreading his naked screen debut" in November's Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
Jenna from DanRadcliffe.com, from whose interview
the Daily Record lifted quotes and based their story, tells it straight:
Just to clarify this mess they've created - At no time was Dan naked or did he say he was for the Prefect's Bath scene. They took a quote from my article and turned it into something it's not.
Not only did they lift quotes from my interview without permission, they did so without giving credit as if it were their own interview... and then took it and twisted it. Yet another reason why none of you should ever put any trust into anything you read in one of these tabloid rubbish liners.
Well said, Jenna.

Opera Ghost says:
This makes me laugh, as there was a streaker who ran onto the field at a high school football game last week, but he was wearing something similar to Dan, it seemed like, I really couldn't tell because we were sitting kinda far back and my binoculars were in the bottom of my backpack...but, yeah, it gave the impression of being naked. What was my point? Oh- as soon as I read the original story I knew it wasn't true. Probably embarrassing enough even with something on, though, they should make the whole crew strip down a little bit to put the actors at ease. Or maybe not, it's just acting and that's what they get paid for, right? But Dan is lucky to have people like Jenna on his side, to shut up the Rita Skeeters of the world.

Lousy tabloids, making rubbish like this up, typical! Dan wouldn't need to be naked anyway, it's not like there was a bit in the book where he had to be naked. And yeah, so what if he was? What would the problem be, it's not like we'd see him, it's supposed to be a family film form a kids' book!

Uhh... haven't we established that already??!... Well, then I'll just have to repeat... -sorry!!!
First of all, I've NEVER (not even for one second) been so.....naïve to imagine (damn, I almost wrote "HOPE"!!!;) that he could have been naked for filming that scene, at his age and in this movie!!!
Now... TEE-HEE-HEE, I love the way he talks about that underwear that "nobody would ever want to wear"!!!! (actually, I think I know a few guys who would!....-oops, sorry, this is not the place to discuss that!!!) Anyway, it's remarkable how down-to-earth and modest he is!
Oh, and... It's really comforting to know that still, "in theory" (to quote him!), THE CHARACTER is supposed to be naked under that dressing gown!!!!!! ;D (that was just a quote, folks!!!;)

I don't care if he was or was not naked. Well, if he was it would have made the scene so much hotter. I am glad to just see the scene with him with his shirt off. I can't believe that people would turn around things that people said just to make it seem worse, or better. I can't wait for the movie.

He doesn't need to worry - I don't think anyone seriously believed that he was totally naked! There was no need for him to be with all that bubble bath so it wouldn't make any sense!

People will do anything to stir up controversy they will say the first thing that comes to their mind most of the time Dan wasn't naked and they knew that before they put it in a tabloid they wanted a big story and couldn't find it and so they made one up

Interestingly, Dan will appear naked live on stage in a production of Equus, and he has to perform a sex act while mounted on a horse (according to the article on the HPANA home page). Yikes!!!
