Tabloids love exploiting (and paraphrasing and exaggerating) quotes about celebrities to hype up stories and increase readership. Doing so about Harry Potter isn't new, and the Daily Record hit a home run yesterday by claiming
star Daniel Radcliffe is "dreading his naked screen debut" in November's Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
Jenna from DanRadcliffe.com, from whose interview
the Daily Record lifted quotes and based their story, tells it straight:
Just to clarify this mess they've created - At no time was Dan naked or did he say he was for the Prefect's Bath scene. They took a quote from my article and turned it into something it's not.
Not only did they lift quotes from my interview without permission, they did so without giving credit as if it were their own interview... and then took it and twisted it. Yet another reason why none of you should ever put any trust into anything you read in one of these tabloid rubbish liners.
Well said, Jenna.

It's through instances like this, that we can truly see how the "cream" rises to the top. Jenna is a class act, and this tabloid publication has only shown the difference between a true journalist (Jenna) and their own dime-store version of one. In addition, anyone who has read (or heard) the actual interview, will see that Dan also knows the difference between one who cares about the truth and those who care only about the bottom line.

I am glad that they are pointing out that he wasn't. I mean, one there really is no need for it (even though we know he was), and I'd really rather not sit in a room full of screaming girls!

Ha ha, I bet there are a lot of disappointed ladies! But I'm sure anyone who believed it was just wishful thinking anyways. Like a 16 year old would have a nude scene in a Warner Brothers film!

Thats really mean of Daily Record to do that. They arent allowed to changed someones wards or even say that it was their findings. And i think most of use knew that they wouldnt put Dan naked into a movie scene, especially 16 year olds.

They must have a Rita Skeeter working for that newspaper. That's exactly the type of rubbish I would expect from her

Well, again...DUH!!
He is, for all intents and purposes, a CHILD actor, and I know there would be some serious issues if he were going to be naked. Stupid tabloids...

I don't understand why anyone would assume that Dan was naked for that scene anyway. It just makes sense that he'd be wearing shorts. But tabloids do stupid stuff like that all of the time because it (unfortunately) sells.

It's stupid how the tabloids hype up this stuff... Really it's not relevant. The audience isn't going to know either way if he's naked or not...
I can't, actually I can, believe that they lifted parts of the article without permission!

I can't deny that I'm rather upset to hear he wasn't naked for the scene. Ah, well, I suppose seeing him topless is a gift for which I should express much gratitude alone. ;)

Tabloids did go far this time but we need a good sense of humor to laugh at tabloids anyway!

I think its absurd they way tabloids take such liberties just to sell their magazine. Its crazy to think that an actor Dans age would appear in any film naked.
