Tabloids love exploiting (and paraphrasing and exaggerating) quotes about celebrities to hype up stories and increase readership. Doing so about Harry Potter isn't new, and the Daily Record hit a home run yesterday by claiming
star Daniel Radcliffe is "dreading his naked screen debut" in November's Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
Jenna from DanRadcliffe.com, from whose interview
the Daily Record lifted quotes and based their story, tells it straight:
Just to clarify this mess they've created - At no time was Dan naked or did he say he was for the Prefect's Bath scene. They took a quote from my article and turned it into something it's not.
Not only did they lift quotes from my interview without permission, they did so without giving credit as if it were their own interview... and then took it and twisted it. Yet another reason why none of you should ever put any trust into anything you read in one of these tabloid rubbish liners.
Well said, Jenna.

That really sucks. I hate the tabloids. They always take everything and make it go out of control. I think that they should just state the truth and then stuff like this just wouldn't happen. They just want people to buy their magazines.

Duh! Most of the time actors in parts like this are not naked unless they want to be and plus he is only a teenager and on top of that being naked was totally unnecessary since the scene involved him in the tub mostly. It is no surprise how tabloids like to twist things like this. My shock is that they didn't add more twist to it.

Hmm... Well, I must say that this is awkward, I mean, c'mon! Why the heck would they film it with him naked, that's RIDICULOUS! How many children geared movies have you seen where the actors filmed scenes and you saw or heard that he was totally nude, I mean... ? Whatever, Come quickly November 18th!!!!!!!!

Honestly, the things people will do for circulation! That was so blatantly false, it was rediculous. Like they would have anyone completely naked in a Harry Potter story!

As if that would make a difference . . . Last I heard in the USA it was illegal to exploit a minor (dan) and this is still a pg movie . . . the question is not who are the goof balls that writes such articles but what kind of reader(s) actually believe them? Scary.

I second that! Well said Jenna! I don't like to read tabloids, it's soooooooo obvious that they steal actual new and make it more sensational and give it a twist. Twisting is for dancing, not when you're reporting news!

Why would people do that? It makes no differene to the scene. And anyone who read the book through this website would know that. It obviously means that they are being ignorant of the facts.

Who cares if he was or wasn't, I can tell you it wouldn't be in the movie either way!!
I'm betting there's a cut to the feet and the robe dropping then a cut to him already in the tub. Perfectly harmless.
You'd think people would be more mature about nudity, it's not anything to freak about. It happens everyday...unless you don't change your clothes and that's just plain gross, and much more worthy of a tabloid headline than nudity.

Yeah...well, it's long since the days I ever trusted newspapers, especially tabloids...and I'm only 16. I don't think Dan would really be that bothered about it though... It's just pathetic. These journalists seriously need to consider getting a life, instead of trying (and failing) to make other peoples' miserable.
