The New York Post is looking for Harry Potter fans who are willing to talk about their plans for the release of this month's Goblet of Fire film.
If you're a New Yorker, contact reporter Angela Montefinise at (212)930-8568 and you may be in the paper!
As the paper's resident Potter freak, the editors here have asked me to find fellow New York fanatics who are planning to do something special for the release of the movie - a party, a costume-clad event, a dinner. Anything. I'm also looking for New Yorkers (or NY metropolitan area people) who are planning to go above and beyond to make sure they get into this movie on opening night. You know, people who are going to wait on line or something like that.
Earlier this year they published several accounts of your experiences over the weekend release of the sixth book, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

I would love to do that! But, I don't live in NYC. Do you think we could email stuff to them? That would be awesome! I know what I'm doing. But I'm definatley going to read it. That will be so cool! My dad brought me the New York Times paper, it had Harry Potter all over it, because it was right at the first release.

I wonder if other papers are looking for that. Makes sense to ask people to come to you, it makes your job easier.

I qualify as part of the NY Metro area, but unfortunately, I have no special plans. And I already know I can't make it opening night. Too bad, that would have been fun! LissyPotter - if you are in Northern NJ, you would gualify! :)

That is so very cool. Its things like this that make me wish I lived somewhere else, and right now I wish I lived in New York, but I don't and there isn't anything I can do about it.

Eh, I'm in NYC but I'm not doing anything special, it's become just another movie this season. I've become quite ambivalent about GoF the movie already though I'll still get the DVD when it comes out. Sorry to all those who would want to be New Yorkers but can't at the moment. I don't read the Post either (New York Times all the way!) but I do hope Angela Montefinise gets the info she needs.
