On December 15th, Brendan Gleeson
received a London Film Critics Award nomination for his portrayal of Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody in the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire movie. According to Movie City News
, Mr. Gleeson will contend against the following under the category:
British Actor in Supporting Role
Brendan Gleeson (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire)
James McAvoy (The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe)
Paddy Considine (Cinderella Man)
Tom Hollander (Pride and Prejudice)
Cillian Murphy (Batman Begins)
Another Goblet of Fire co-star, Ralph Fiennes
(You-Know-Who), also received a nomination for his portrayal of Justin Quayle in The Constant Gardener.
The awards are set to take place on February 8, 2006. Congratulations to both actors on their nominations.

I think Brendan Gleeson did a good job. However, I think he spoiled the character. In my mind, I picture Moody as a straight guy, without a good sense of humour.

He made a good job doing of Moody on the GoF movie. The one i'm dissapointed is Ralph Fiennes (You-Know-Who). Voldemort looks like a gay. And that is not good. Bit he made a very good job, too.

I havern't seen any of the other actors/actresses that he is up against in their films, but thought that he played a very good role in Harry Potter. I thought his all seeing eye was done well in the film as it didn't look too creepy which I thought could happen.

I think it's pretty obvious that he is a true Harry Potter fan. Apparantly he tried to be completely faithful to the books that he holds so dear...and it payed off with a nomination for his excellence!
