The roles of Luna Lovegood, Nymphadora Tonks, Dolores Umbridge & Bellatrix Lestrange have been cast for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, it was announced
this morning.
As expected, Imelda Staunton will play new DADA teacher Professor Umbridge. The role of Luna Lovegood will be played by 14-year-old Evanna Lynch from Ireland who was one of the thousands of girls who auditioned in London a few weeks ago.
We previously mentioned that Helen McCrory had been cast as Bellatrix and now she has been officially confirmed. Ms. McCrory has appeared in Casanova and The Count of Monte Cristo as well as numerous British TV shows.
Natalia Tena, who recently appeared in Mrs. Henderson Presents with Judi Dench & Bob Hoskins will be playing hair-changing Tonks.
We finally get to see the character of Mrs. Figg who will be played by actress Kathryn Hunter, who has appeared in Orlando and All or Nothing.
Principal photography is scheduled to start on Monday, February 6 at Leavesden Studios.

YES! I am so happy that they aren't leaving Bellatrix out ( I thought that the director would because she isn't extremely important in the 5th book, except for the fact that she kills Sirius...but they could easily have like Lucius Malfoy do that instead! Sooo yes! They are keeping her in! The girl who plays Luna looks pretty good, they will hopefully die her hair though. I am also excited that they are keeping Tonks in the movie because she adds the humor. OOoooooooo! I am sooo excited! :P

Helen McCrory: Not exact, but not too shabby either. Very pretty.
Evanna Lynch: She fits the description, but she doesn't look verry dotty, which is the majority of Luna. We'll see how she acts.
Natalia Tena: Sorry, not even close. I was picturing someone younger and cuter.
Kathryn Hunter: Sure, why not.

I wish we could see a better picture of Natalia Tena, this one hasn't exactly filled me with joy. I'll wait to see her in the film, but I am slightly disappointed, my choices for the role were Anna Friel, Natalie Portman or Keira Knightley, for instance.

Wow, those all look great. Everyone they have a pic for looks quite good for the part. Well, they'll have to ugly Imelda Staunton up a bit, but that's easily enough done. The girl the cast for Tonks looks young, so that's good. Would have been annoying if they'd cast a 30-year-old actress. I like that she's nice looking, but not really beautiful, which is another thing I was worried they might not get right. Now if only they had a pic of the Mrs. Figg actress. Everything looks pretty great, though.

You have to google everyone... that luna girl looks NOTHING like her. She's like a model. I knew they would do this. The Tonks is too old, and the Luna looks like a blond... just a blond... she's not good, nothing. I don't like this guy whose doing OotP already. This girl doesn't have the "other worldy quality" about her that is Luna Lovegood. I am just upset with these casting choices. Uck... this is going to stink.
