Tonight in London, the Black Family Tree that Harry Potter author JK Rowling sketched and donated to Book Aid International was on display for the public to preview before tomorrow's auction. A report by a fan who attended the preview is now available online, with additional names and details that were previously withheld.
Here's a tidbit of the fan report regarding those seven names that were burned-off -- the "black sheep", as mentioned in Order of the Phoenix (numbered to match with those marks on this image of the tree):
The fan report, with a full listing of the other members of the Black family, is now available at HP Lexicon
. For additional information regarding tomorrow's auction of this JK Rowling sketch, please visit Bloomsbury Auctions.

I hope a copy of this is reproduced somewhere where the rest of us can see it. We couldn't afford to buy the original, but it would still be nice to be able to view and contemplate a copy.
I think it is great that Dan got it. Harry was the start of his career so he should have something to commemorate that. Plus the money went to charity.
I wonder who was bidding against him at that price?

Well intresting but will it play any part in the books or is this just the random extra notes of the writer. Just too keep the story strait. I know when I write I have loads of extra's on post-it-notes, loose pages, cards. and non of it makes the final cut. Just little things so I can keep it all organized. Although looking at my desk it does not look organized.
