Last month we told you
that JK Rowling would help Queen Elizabeth celebrate her 80th birthday on June 25th. It is now being reported
that Ms. Rowling will be reading from "her next Harry Potter book," this is not true as Ms. Rowling has never read from a book before it was published in any arena.
For the celebrations Windsor Castle will be turned into a theme park with a Winnie the Pooh’s Hundred Acre Wood; Peter Pan will duel with Captain Hook aboard a pirate ship on a lake; a Mary Poppins musical and the Royal Ballet performs in Beatrix Potter costumes. The event will also be broadcast on BBC, please check your local listings.
The article also states that Dan Radcliffe will be attendance, please note that this has not been confirmed & is highly unlikely due to his exam schedule.
UPDATE: As I stated earlier, the above mentioned book will not be book 7 as TLC
has confirmed that Jo still has not decided which book she will be reading from at the event.

Well i dont realy like the royal family but that sound slike a nice thing to do for a birthday for the kids. Ahah amakes me with i was 6 again *pouts* tehe.
Hmm well shes never read from her unpublished books before, so i cant realy see if she will or not...maybe because its the QUEEN she will...its her last book after all and would be a nice thing to do.
On a side note, i know people will hate me for saying this, but when i listened to Rowling read a chapter from her last book on tv...i got bored after the 1st 2 minutes. Shes a fantastic author, but personaly i think shes not all that great at reading them out *dodges tomatoes* ahaha dont know why ive said this *dodges tomatoes*
Id be nervous reading it out on tv, let alone at the queens birthday...she sgot some guts if she does it ill give her that.

This sounds so awesome! But, they don't know if she meant the seventh or the sixth book. I hope it's the seventh. Then, I probably won't go as crazy waiting for it to FINALLY come out!

The 6th book is still a new book,as it only came out last summer, and still just NOW coming out in some countries. Therefor it is more than likely HBP that will be read from. Even so, I would love to hear her read from this, even though I have read it.I hope we get to see this on the net.
As for Dan Radcliffe, his reps did not comfirm that he would be there,in fact I believe they said that he would be filming, and studying.

There is no way she will read from the seventh book, and I wouldnt want to hear it because I want to hear it all at once and I'd go insane not knowing what happened after what she read.

I'm starting to get really annoyed at the Queen. First she demandeds a particular then she chucks a blue fit about the royal anthem not being played, and now she throws one heck of a party and gets J.K. Rowling to read for her! One selfish woman if you ask me.
I'll 'bet my broomstick' Dan Radcliffe comes. This is the Queen's birthday. Who wouldn't go?
Annoyed,
Kat

That's cool. I don't know if I believe that J.K. will read from the 7th book, but she did let us have a tiny glimpse of the 6th book,we saw the exerpt that described what Slughorn looked like, so it might just be a tiny reading like that. And if she does read from the 7th, we still have a little wait to hear it. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Harry's Detour says:
Yeah, she's not reading from Book 7. Maybe they meant "latest" instead of "next" HP book. Jo will not read from an unpublished book! No way...unless she releases a small paragraph like she did with the lion man one. remember that? that's the ONLY possibility of her reading from book 7. But I still doubt it. What a cool birthday party (its good to be the Queen!)

Well, what a lavish birthday party! And it definitely would be awesome if JK did read from her next book. However, it would definitely spoil the surprise of it don't you think. And how much of it has she really gotten done and sent to the editor?

I won't believe it unless it is confirmed. For one thing, this early into her writing it she would have no idea what the final product would be so there'd be no garauntee what she reads will resemble anything that actually gets published. Plus I don't see her really wanting to reveal anything this early. Not to mention her publishers would probably have a fit if she did read from whatever she does have.
On the absolutely small, outside chance she does read from something I'll probably down right refuse to try to find out what she read because I don't want to torture myself this long before it's published.
