The door to JK Rowling's "private room" on her official site
is open.
In the past, this has revealed important new information about the next book, so we might learn something about book 7 soon.
From the ongoing discussion (spoiler warning) in HPANA's forums, some people may not be able to get inside (for technological reasons - caching, cookies, etc). Be patient and good luck!
If you really don't want to do it yourself, highlight the area below for the complete solution:
---====Go to JKRowling.com. Click on the eraser on her desk.
Click on the vase. A rock appears. Drag the rock to the mirror and smash it. A key is revealed. Put the key in the door's lock.
Open the note, and then repair the mirror by typing "reparo".
Click on the door in the mirror (to close it), and the main door opens!
Then there's... a black thing with a gold thing on it. Click and drag the gold thing to point straight up.
Take the W.O.M.B.A.T. quiz!
Get a student ID code.... and then?

When you first open www.jkrowling.com DONT click on the link right in the middle of the page, the one that says "Enter Accessibility Enable Version" (DONT click it!) Click on the square that says "Enter" down the bottom with the English Flag on it! Thats what i was doing wrong... It took me forever to figure it out... It should work then... If not then i dunno whats wrong

Normally when the door opens we get info on the upcoming book. I'm thinking that maybe... maybe she will give the top scorer(s) a prize, like a chance to ask her some questions about Book 7.
Wouldn't that be awesomely cool?!
If it's true, I'm not likely to be one of the few chosen.
It's just a theory, so take this with a grain of salt. I don't know anything more than anybody else. But there must be a reason she's making us all wait.
I wonder for how long?

Hey just to let everyone know that i had such a hard time cracking the mirror too! What i did was go the the beginning when you enter her website and instead of clicking the accebility version right in front of you, i clicked the UK version and there the potted plant was different with a different rock that DID break the mirror! I did take the test and everything. It was pretty neat! Well off to bed...later!

Hey Linakekei. You get points everytime you post. You start out a "Muggle" as you are, then at 100 points you are a squib, at 200 points you are a student. Not sure after that, but I am close to 300 now, so we will know soon. This is the coolest site. Welcome. HPANA is the best.

This was a really great surprise to have this door opened. I took the test and I really hope I'll have normal results, because I didn't undestand the names of some of the herbs ( I haven't read all of the books in English, only lots of times in Estonian).
