The door to JK Rowling's "private room" on her official site
is open.
In the past, this has revealed important new information about the next book, so we might learn something about book 7 soon.
From the ongoing discussion (spoiler warning) in HPANA's forums, some people may not be able to get inside (for technological reasons - caching, cookies, etc). Be patient and good luck!
If you really don't want to do it yourself, highlight the area below for the complete solution:
---====Go to JKRowling.com. Click on the eraser on her desk.
Click on the vase. A rock appears. Drag the rock to the mirror and smash it. A key is revealed. Put the key in the door's lock.
Open the note, and then repair the mirror by typing "reparo".
Click on the door in the mirror (to close it), and the main door opens!
Then there's... a black thing with a gold thing on it. Click and drag the gold thing to point straight up.
Take the W.O.M.B.A.T. quiz!
Get a student ID code.... and then?

i know its the last book and all BUT what if she decides to write it in two halfs. So therefore being a book 8.I Wish. I really dont want the series to end. Maybe shes going to tell us the number of chapters, the title of chapters, a short extract from what she has witten, the name of a new charecter, the name of a horcoux, maybe the title, or the release date. I hope we find out something really interesting. Ive never actually opened the door befor so im really exited. Icve been checking the clock every day and i nor cant believe its changed.
dose anyone else have any major ideas of what she is going to tell us from this or do people only think its an april fools joke.
Personnaly i think it is real- well i hope it is because ive never undone the door before. Rumours say it will be out next year do you think this will be a huge challenge for JKR because if she is going to make it amazing shouldnt she spend a long time going over it and make it perfect instead of it being rushed.
Ok this post is getting longer by the minute but yesterday smeone had a go at me for double posting. I have a lot to say on this subject.
HAs anyone got any other ideas about what JKR i going to tell us or is it just a big joke. Please post back i really want to have a good discusion about it!!!

the_red_dragon - the rock i think has gone because u cant open the door ant more and u neded that 2 do so. to make the plant grow you need to go to the portkey that leads to the radio. switch it on and listen to the whole programme. then go back to the eraser/door and add ur 6 red drops, 3 green drops and it should work. u eed 2 listen to the whole of the radio programme.- hope this Helps.

hay ptince slyverin, therer never was a vase it was a pot of flowers that you have alreaady grown!!! The rock will no longer be there because it is what was needed to smash the mirro to get the key to unlock the door. You cant undo the door any more because hte do not disturb sign is up. The rock was only there to smash the mirror you dont need it to find items for the scrapbook. Im sorry if someone has already answered this but i got an email so i thought i would answer it. Hope this puts you back on track. :)
