Harry Potter author JK Rowling has updated her diary
today with news about how difficult it is to find paper in Edinburgh, visiting the Order of the Phoenix set and talking to the actors.
Below is an excerpt of the entry:
It was exciting to see some of the new Order of the Phoenix sets, but most of all to see the actors again - slightly unnerving to realise that nearly all of them are taller than me now (I speak, of course, of the teenagers; Michael Gambon was always taller than me, and very lovely he looked in his new robes, too.) Apart from the pleasure of seeing Tom Felton, Devon Murray, Alfred Enoch, Sitara Shah (and waving through the door at Bonnie Wright, who was busy being tutored), I had a great time talking to Dan and Matthew about books, Rupert about how his sisters never wind him up, Oliver and James about how difficult they find it to wind each other up, and Emma about Hermione's love life. Also met, and had a long chat, with Evanna Lynch (Luna), about whom there is only one possible thing to say: perfect.
The Rumours section has also been updated as well as the Extras section with a piece about the proliferation of skinny young woman in the media. Thanks to everyone who emailed us.

Evanna should sit back and relax now. If JKR says she's the perfect Luna, none of us have any right to complain!
What a thrill it must have been for the cast members to meet with JKR again! It's great that she gets to the set when she can and also great that she has a crew there that she doesn't feel like she has to visit. I'd love to hear the cast members' takes on seeing her again!

I have so much respect for JK Rowling (before but even more) after reading the entry over size issues. I see too much of it these days. My best friend will always be my best friend no matter what size the other is. I'd rather be a genuine caring person and have people be around me and be around other people because we care about each other. I have actually stopped buying magazines apart from one movie magazine, because when I was buying them I started getting infected with all their diet junk. I'd rather be able to look in the mirror, smile and accept the way I am than stress over looks.
I read once somewhere in a book a guy said that it must be difficult to be a woman, men often would like to be like someone - to drive like Schumacher, but they don't want to look like them. It's kind of scary how true it is.

JK is so fantastic. The snippet she wrote in the Extras section was great. Really spot on. I am so glad she got to meet with Evanna Lynch and talk with the other actors. It's just got to be making Evanna's year to hear JKR call her 'perfect' for Luna.

That is a high compliment coming from the person who wrote the character that Evanna is portraying. I am glad that they found someone that JKR considers to be perfect. Hopefully that translates onscreen.
