Actor Jim McManus
will portray the bit part of Albus Dumbledore's brother Aberforth in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, according to The Leaky Cauldron.
The unnamed bartender at the Hog's Head in Phoenix (who we later learn is Aberforth) witnesses the inaugural meeting of the student-led Dumbledore's Army there.

They sometimes take out huge bits of the plot to make a shorter movie... yet they put in sort of pointless characters who don't affect he plot much. Why can't we see the things that are really important.
Then again, like someone said, maybe in the future he plays a larger role... i dont know...

I have never heard of this guy and couldnt find out anything about him from searching the internet either so I guess my oppinion is pretty much neutral at the moment. Intrestingly though this film SEEMS to be sticking much closer to the book than the other films. I mean you kind of get the feeling that in the other films a little detail like who was in the pub at the time may have been left out if its not imediately important.
P.S. If anyone finds an image of this guy could they please post info for where we can find it.

OK well, I really hope he can pull of the role, because at this point, Aberforth could become very important in book 7 and we may need someone who can actually ACT and not just stand there scowling and wiping down a counter.
