Warner Bros. has now confirmed to us the release dates for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in several countries:
The newest dates give French and German fans an earlier bow for the film than English-speaking countries.

That's awful for us Aussies! I've signed the petition and left a comment...With us having to wait for so long people could download the film over the internet by then (not that I condone piracy!) and while it won't be quite as good they'll have seen it by then and save themseles a ticket price! That would have to cut into their profits somehow!

I bet South Africa will get it around the same time Australia gets it? Hopefully I'll be back in the U.S. when this comes out so I wont have to wait as long as I had to for GoF.. evvvvvveryone ever saw it before me :(

Quidditch2005, we have winter holidays in mid July, Spring holidays in October then our big summer holidays from mid December. I'd particuliarly wouldn't say that the release date is near our summer holidays.

Well as much as I would love to see Harry Potter on its opening weekend, I don't know if I want to risk the overly populated movie theaters....

Yea! I'm thrilled that it will be coming out next summer! I can't wait to see what they do with it. I hope they still have time to get it right. I would rather wait a few weeks for a great film than have a not-so-good film sooner....but that's just me. ;o)
