Warner Bros. has now confirmed to us the release dates for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in several countries:
The newest dates give French and German fans an earlier bow for the film than English-speaking countries.

That's very cool, but I'm curious about something. Why in the world would you release it in France and Germany before U.K. and U.S. After all it is a movie made in the British setting, with British actors, by an american production company. Wouldn't that make more sense?

And look how long Australia has to wait! If I lived there, I would be going to school for a few more days, then have summer vacation, then go to school again (a whole school year) then have summer vacation then go to school on probably september till it would be a close time to watch the movie! That's a long time!
