Warner Bros. has confirmed to HPANA that Emma Thompson
will be reprising her role as Sibyll Trelawney in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, which is currently in production in the UK.
Ms. Thompson appeared on set recently to film some of her scenes for the movie, according to The Leaky Cauldron.
The movie is scheduled to be released in many countries July 2007.

Thrilling, wonderful, fabulous! I loved Ms. Thompson in PoA as Prof. Trelawney. I'm thrilled that she will be back, nI loved the sacking sceane in the book and am very pleased that it will be in the film.

Hurrah!! I'm so happy Emma Thompson is remaining on board, as I don't think the Order of the Phoenix would be the same without her. Professor Trelawney is such an amazing character, and her scenes with Imelda Staunton as dismal Delore Umbridge will be truly classic British Cinema.
Thrilled, absollutely thrilled. Has there ever been a mmovie series with a better cast. I mean, everyone is absolutely AMAZING. Seriously cannot wait to see the film now, although I must admit I want Book 7 more than the film.
Anyone else think that as well?

I'm glad that they are bringing her back. I don't like when they change the characters. I really like Emma as Tr. she dosn't really fit for the book-not as "mystical/crazy" but she fits in with the flow of the movies.

Ehh, all the better I guess. I used to think she would be a talkk skinny lady with really short black hair with loads of Mardis Gras beads around her neck (don't ask), but Emma's really good in the role. Glad to hear it... glad to hear it - I can't wait to see the twins' goodbye scene!
