Young Marauders, others cast for 'Phoenix'

James Walters is to be Young Sirius Black, James Utechen will play a Young Remus Lupin and Alec Hopkins will portray Young Severus Snape in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, it was reported
today by CBBC Newsround.
The trio of "Young Marauders" will provide a glimpse into Harry's parent's generation in the film, in which they portray several of the main adult characters while they were still at Hogwarts themselves.
In a major casting change, Helena Bonham Carter will replace Helen McCrory as deatheater Bellatrix Lestrange, as McCrory now expects to be "heavily pregnant" during what would have been her filming. (Carter was last seen as Charlie's mom in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. She also voiced a character in Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit opposite Ralph Fiennes.)
Care of Magical Creatures Professor Grubbly-Plank will be portrayed by 25-year stage veteran Apple Brook. Finally, Jason Piper will play Bane the Centaur.
Pictures of the new trio will be posted as soon as we get them! (They are all relative unknowns, but HPANA has confirmed that Alec Hopkins is the teen in this photo, from a Newbury Theatre production in 2003. Here's a group photo.)

It's so exciting to hear casting or filming news from OotP - I can't wait until the movie comes out! I can't remember if we know who's going to play the young James Potter...? I always assumed it would be Daniel Radcliffe since Harry's supposed to look just like his father, but I guess that probably wouldn't work.

Yay for finally announcing young Snape! We were getting impatient over in the OSD *laughs* Makeup and wig needed obviously, but I thinke he will do well for a younger Severus.
And another yay for Helena Bonham Carter - I always thought she would make a good Bella, so that makes me happy.

I am thrilled. Now I am anticipating this movie even more, if that's at all possible. After being so disappointed with GoF, and OotP being my favourite of the books, my instincts have been telling me the movie will be amazing. Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix is very exciting. I first adored her in Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, and she has been nothing but magnificent since. I can't be more pleased with the choice.

This is A James Walters, but we don't know if it's the one playing Sirius. I mean, come on, it's a really generic name, isn't it? This is the picture going around right now, so no one's really sure yet. Suppose it's up to WB to tell us if it's him or not.

This is such excellent news!! wow this has made me about a hundred times more excited for this movie.. wow.. plus I'm glad that Helen McCrory has been cut because of a pregnancy rather than her not being up to par or something like that.. I wonder whether Helena was considered in the first place??
Thats also exciting news about Sirius and Snape's younger characters.. ohhh I cant waittt!!!
