James Walters is to be Young Sirius Black, James Utechen will play a Young Remus Lupin and Alec Hopkins will portray Young Severus Snape in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, it was reported
today by CBBC Newsround.
The trio of "Young Marauders" will provide a glimpse into Harry's parent's generation in the film, in which they portray several of the main adult characters while they were still at Hogwarts themselves.
In a major casting change, Helena Bonham Carter will replace Helen McCrory as deatheater Bellatrix Lestrange, as McCrory now expects to be "heavily pregnant" during what would have been her filming. (Carter was last seen as Charlie's mom in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. She also voiced a character in Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit opposite Ralph Fiennes.)
Care of Magical Creatures Professor Grubbly-Plank will be portrayed by 25-year stage veteran Apple Brook. Finally, Jason Piper will play Bane the Centaur.
Pictures of the new trio will be posted as soon as we get them! (They are all relative unknowns, but HPANA has confirmed that Alec Hopkins is the teen in this photo, from a Newbury Theatre production in 2003. Here's a group photo.)

Cool, they all seem good, can't wait to see photos of them. Helena Bonham Carter is ok I guess, but I always was sure that she is older than that. She is supposed to be older than Sirius and all the others so I think she is slightly miscast. She probably would have been better as Tonks.

Whoooo! I'm glad they have more roles filled...that means that the movie is that much closer to being finished! I will have to go and look at pictures of most of the people they listed, though, because I don't really know any of them, except for Helena, whom they've already shown a picture of!

I'm a little disappointed that they didn't have Dan as James. It would make sense, wouldn't it? I mean Harry is supposed to look just like his dad so I would have thought it'd to be good sense to have Dan play James and Harry. None of the other actors (male) look enough like our movie image of Harry....

Ok...I've been checking up on this post almost everyday for pictures and every single time I get on here I see someone posting about how they can't wait for James to be cast or how they hope Dan will double for James as well as Harry...I'm really not trying to be mean, but it gets obnoxious seeing this all the time...so...for everyone's peace of mind...James Potter will be played by Robbie Jarvis. He's a very hot, good-looking actor who is definitely NOT Dan Radcliffe. There ya go, sorry if I sounded mean...not my intention.
