Young Marauders, others cast for 'Phoenix'

James Walters is to be Young Sirius Black, James Utechen will play a Young Remus Lupin and Alec Hopkins will portray Young Severus Snape in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, it was reported
today by CBBC Newsround.
The trio of "Young Marauders" will provide a glimpse into Harry's parent's generation in the film, in which they portray several of the main adult characters while they were still at Hogwarts themselves.
In a major casting change, Helena Bonham Carter will replace Helen McCrory as deatheater Bellatrix Lestrange, as McCrory now expects to be "heavily pregnant" during what would have been her filming. (Carter was last seen as Charlie's mom in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. She also voiced a character in Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit opposite Ralph Fiennes.)
Care of Magical Creatures Professor Grubbly-Plank will be portrayed by 25-year stage veteran Apple Brook. Finally, Jason Piper will play Bane the Centaur.
Pictures of the new trio will be posted as soon as we get them! (They are all relative unknowns, but HPANA has confirmed that Alec Hopkins is the teen in this photo, from a Newbury Theatre production in 2003. Here's a group photo.)

Ooh, I can't wait for the pic of who's playinf Remus and Sirius. I really hope that the PTB chose wisely, and they did't mess up like they did in casting the last Dumbledore!

If I knew I were going to be acting ina role in which I wasn't pregnant, I would not get pregnant!! But I've actually seen Helena Bonham Carter act ( Charlie and the Choclate Factory) so I'm confident they did good! I hope pictures of the "Young Marauders" comes in soon, I can't wait to see them!!

I was kinda excited for Helen McCrory to be Bellatrix, I thought she would be good. But I also like Helena Bonhan Carter; she did a great job in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The Corpse Bride. Good luck to all. I am sure they will be great.

Ooo this is super exciting news! I can't wait for pics! I agree with someone else who posted (too lazy to scroll through and find out exactly who) that Helena Bonham Carter may have been better as Merope, but I think she'll make a good Bellatrix too!

That is so funny that Helena Bonham Carter is going to be Bellatrix when I remember a fan thread that stated that she should play Marope Gaunt, hahahahaha. I love Helena she is great in Fight Club and Big Fish. Although I am kindda upset that Helen McCrory isnt going to be her. I was looking forward to seeing her in something else, I have only seen The Counte of Monte Cristo. It is also cool to know the names of the young marauders. Yea, I cannt wait for the movie!!!

Helena Bonhma Carter...hmmm. Good actress, although I must say she only got ino Charlie and the Choc factory because of Tim Burton...but she'll be good. Not sure about her as Bellatrix, she's a bit too for lack of another word, weak. Bellatrix is kinda tough and mean. Helena is too...nice.
