Bloomsbury publishing director Liz Calder said the next and final Harry Potter book is "likely" to be released in 2007... she hopes.
At the British Council's Creative Future
conference in India this week, Calder allegedly said as much in an interview with Indo-Asian News Service:
"One more 'Harry Potter' only but she (Rowling) said from the beginning that she would write seven. So she would not write another one after this. But Rowling would write other books for us," said Liz.
"The next 'Harry Potter' book is likely to come out in 2007. I hope so."
While Calder's comments are optimistic at best, she's one of only a handful of people other than Jo herself who could make such a weighty prediction.

So Sad....just like when the end of a movie trilogy comes and then its all over. Its just a memory. I am going to be sad when the final book comes out. Sad and Happy i guess. But then again... She would write other books for us. Well I hope she creates another world full of mystery, fantasy, and adventure in every corner.

Ahh! It's getting closer and closer...I remember right after I finished reading HBP I thought that it is going to take forever for book 7 to come out...that was almost 1 year ago, and there's only 1 year left :D

If Book Seven is likely to be released in mid-2007, then the title is likely imminent. My money is on Harry Potter and the Alchemist's Cell.

I do hope that the 7th book comes out in 2007 unless it comes out ealier, but wheneer she does get it to come out I will be waiting for her to publish it (patiently and kindly) I hope that she does make other books about Lily and James after she is finaished with the 7th. I can't wait! :)

That is cool. The sooner the better. She is lucky, she probably gets to read the books since she is publishing them (possibly). I really hope that JK Rowling comes out with another book. That would make me sooooooo very happy!!!
