When last we checked, a slim majority of fans said Harry Potter would die in the last book in JK Rowling's series.
The informal poll, conducted by HPANA, garnered over 45,000 votes and was even cited by The Sun in an article.
With Rowling's recent revelations about upcoming deaths, we decided to ask again: Dead meat, or life so sweet?
Unlike our last poll, however, you only get two choices: Yay or nay.

Wow, that's asking a very horrific question from us all. But I think he'll die... but good god I hope that I am sooooo wrong! I just don't know how he can possibly beat Voldemort without a killing curse(Avada Kedavra) and I dont know if Jo will make him a killer. Jo, please don't kill our Harry!

Although I think Harry could sacrifice himself for the survival of his firends. But keeping in mind that these are childrens books, this is a lesson that children souldn't be tought.
I have read and reread the Harry Potter books for many years. If Harry dies, I think I will give all of my Potter books away.

It really doesn't matter to me...But, I don't wish Harry to die, if he does, Voldemort lives and carries on. If, Potter lives, he too will carry on even more so. The only one that will lose is the Author fighting to decide who lives or dies. But, either way the sequel will continues.

Harry can NOT die in book 7... it would be too devastating for me to even consider. Why would JK allow us all to grow up with Harry for 7 years and then at the end of the journey pull the plug? It just doesn't seem right.

Once again, this is my opinion. I think that Harry and Voldemort are going to die in the 7th book. Even though I think will be very cruel for Harry, this is one of the best ways to finish the series.

I think Harry will have to die to save the wizarding world, although the thought makes me so sad. Remember though what Dumbledore tells Voldemort in OOtP that "there are things much worse than death" Wonder if we'll find out what those are...

I'm way late on posting my thoughts here, but couldn't pass the opportunity by. I tend to belong to the school of thought that Harry is a Horcrux. If that turns out to be fact, then it is only logical that Harry will have to die in order to finally vanquish Voldemort. Out of The Trio, Harry is my favorite, but I wouldn't mind if he ended up dying. What I don't want is to have the book end weakly and sappy and have The Trio skipping happily off into the sunset. It would be a huge let down and not do the series justice.

I also voted YES. I don´t want Harry to die and I know that I will cry when he does, but I have had this feeling since book 4 that book 7 will meet his end. I don´t know how I will live after Harry dies! The series are a part of my life since I was 14. Now I´m 19 and I still cannot get enough of Potter!!! But I know he will die. I hope I´m soooo wrong!
