When last we checked, a slim majority of fans said Harry Potter would die in the last book in JK Rowling's series.
The informal poll, conducted by HPANA, garnered over 45,000 votes and was even cited by The Sun in an article.
With Rowling's recent revelations about upcoming deaths, we decided to ask again: Dead meat, or life so sweet?
Unlike our last poll, however, you only get two choices: Yay or nay.

Umm harry potter is definetly dying. Everyone thinks that Rowling will chicken out just to make fans happy but we all know really that she doesnt care and that harry and voldemort will both die.

I also voted YES. I don´t want Harry to die and I know that I will cry when he does, but I have had this feeling since book 4 that book 7 will meet his end. I don´t know how I will live after Harry dies! The series are a part of my life since I was 14. Now I´m 19 and I still cannot get enough of Potter!!! But I know he will die. I hope I´m soooo wrong!

I think this is kind of weird for the news section. Everyone obviously has their own opinion. It's a good topic for a poll, but not really newsworthy. Just my opinion, though.

Think about...if JKR doesn't want to write another book after this and she doesn't want anyone else writing the years after Hogwarts, what better why to do that than to kill of the big hero of the series...

I said yes because i think she would be pushed to write more, get hate letters saying to write more, or like i heard her say that other authors would try and finish the story if she didnt. Which, i personally would hate.

I think he won't die at the end of the book...because (I know this is a bad reason) if Voldemort lives, everyone else will live in horror and the book has to continue.

I believe that we'll see Harry dead at the end of book 7. Most likely he will do this in order to protect his friends and Ginny. I hope this doesn't happen but I think JK will have him die so that she doesn't have to worry about being pressured to write another book or that future authors would continue writing based on her ideas.

Well it would be a good ending for the seventh and final book and I would love to see how he would die. Plus it would keep other authors from writing Harry Potter.

I am sure that Voldemort will be conquered, but I hope it is not at Harry's expense.
Dumbledore has sacrificed himself, so hopefully Harry will live.
There will a huge uproar either way, a big demand for more Harry books if he lives or extremely upset fans if he dies.

I mean jkr has mentioned many times that we are dealing with pure evil and war does not care who they kill. I dont think she will hold back.
