When last we checked, a slim majority of fans said Harry Potter would die in the last book in JK Rowling's series.
The informal poll, conducted by HPANA, garnered over 45,000 votes and was even cited by The Sun in an article.
With Rowling's recent revelations about upcoming deaths, we decided to ask again: Dead meat, or life so sweet?
Unlike our last poll, however, you only get two choices: Yay or nay.

Though the latest interview certainly brings more doubts to my mind, I still don't think that JK will kill Harry off in the last book--it would be way too depressing, and make the series end on a bad, sour note--and why would she want that? Probably Hagrid will die, and maybe Luna or Neville (though it seems from HBP that they are no longer main characters).

You know I wouldn't be surprised if she did kill him off, and I believe it would be a fitting ending either way (depending on how it all unfolds) but I still think deep down that he is going to survive. Maybe I'm just optimistic, but I think Jo is going to pull out the classic ending where you think Harry has died, but really there is another chapter at the end where he pulls through! Either way I'll be happy, becuase I know Jo will make it great!!!

Although I agree with what some people said: Jo was surprisingly open about the whole Harry dying thing, and said that killing him off would stop authors writing sequels - but I can't see her editing the plot because of that. I hope he doesn't die, anyway.

I think he should live. Even if JK kills Harry in the 7th book, some other author could just come and "resurrect" him or something and STILL write sequels. That would be annoying, but it would just go on to show that she can't stop them from writing, which I thought the couldn't anyway because of copyright laws. :S

Although I love Harry, I some how have the feeling that something horrible os going to happen to him, so like death, yet it was worth it because it was sacrificing...that's in my point of view, but if he lives it will also be interesting. Anyways, I'm really looking forward to read the book :D:D:D

I don't want him to, because he is just, he doesn't deserve to die. I can't really say, a part of me thinks he is gonna die, but a part of me doesn't. We'll have to see when we read the book...

Er... I hate to say it, but I have the horrible feeling that Harry's gonna have to die in the end. I've juggled with the theory that his scar is a Horcrux, but either way, I think he'll have to die in order to take Voldemort down. I don't know, I just hope Ron doesn't die!!!!
