Ah yes, the Ronpert fans strike again....look, I know you guys love Rupert and all, but the reason that he is rarely nominated is that with the role he plays (especially the way it's been written for the movies, which is much more in the style of comic relief than in the books), he's not as challenged acting-wise as say Dan or Emma (Dan more so). When they give out Best Actor/Actress awards or nominations, they generally give them out to actors who are in serious roles--such as Reese Witherspoon for her role as June Carter, which was certainly serious. If they split things like they do for the Emmys, and had "Best actor in a comedic role" or something like that, then I'm sure that Rupert would be nominated. But no such category exists, and the truth is, Rupert isn't really as good as some of you guys make him out to be. I mean, he pretty much reacts in the same way to every situation--pull a funny face (the same one) and hope for the best. True, he exercised his skills a bit mroe in GoF when he was acting all angry, but really...he's not Best Actor quality. Now I'm not sure that Emma is either, but....she does play a more emotional and serious role....

Why isn't Rupert nominated? He's in the film too! Jeez, I hate it when idiots always nominate Dan and Emma when they can't even act that well. Rupert is like ten times better than both of them.

Okay, I apologize to double post but in reply to sherrilina, Ron has dramatic roles in the book. They don't give them to Rupert because the people in charge obviously are oblivious to the book. Plus Dan and Emma aren't that good at their characters. Dan's crying stinks and Emma was way to overdramatic in her role. You don't have to be a Rupert fan to notice that only two characters are being nominated.

Again, sorry to triple post, but in reply to Parvati Patil: I acknowledged that the movie!Ron is portrayed differently than book!Ron, but still, since Rupert isn't given the same dramatic roles that are in the book....they give otu nominations based on what the actor does in the movie, not what his character does in the books. And as for Dan's crying, I'd like to see how Ron would act if he had had to do the same scene. I hate how people are always dogging Dan for that one scene--acting's a hard business! Besides, if they had wanted actual tears, they could have put eye drops on him, but they chose not to. Just because his crying in that one scene stinks, doesn't mean that he isn't good at his character--because face it, he spends most of his time NOT crying, which means you can't say he's bad at a role for one little scene.

Its kind of sad how rupert never gets awarded for these things, i guess hes kind of the third wheel because dan is the lead male actor and emma is the lead female and ron is kind of just there. But he could also get out a bit more, we always hear about dan and emma doing stuff and not so much about him.
