Harry Potter actors Daniel Radcliffe and Warwick Davis participated
in the first Peterborough Children's Film Awards earlier this month in the UK. A total of 208 short films were entered and awards were made in 10 different categories.
Warwick presented two awards at the ceremony and to the delight of all those in attendance Dan presented an award via a pre-recorded video.
Warwick said:
The children had to think of an idea, write the story and script and create a storyboard. They then had to learn how to act and to edit films and work as a team.

Warwick Davis does alot of charity work. Hes a great guy. Dan is a bit busier but he always makes the time to participate in these types of events. They are all great!!

That's awesome. I love film-making competitions for kids. They had one here in the US a few months back; I didn't participate because of the age restriction, but it was cool nonetheless.It's very fitting that Dan present one of the awards, as he's said that he hopes to someday become a film-maker himself. Well done to everyone :o)

That is really cool that the children were actually the ones who came up with the movie ideas and everything. I think there should be more things like this out there. It is also very cool that Davis and Dan get so involved when it comes to things for children. It shows that they really do care and want to make a difference. Good for them.

This is such a WONDERFUL Idea. I have a feeling it worked out WONDERFULLY. I hope Warrick and Daniel had a Great time doing the show. It seemed like it would be fun for not only the actors BUT also the children. (My imagianation was none too small at that age and if I had an outlet like this I have NOOOO Idea what I could be like today. I bet they just inspired a whole NEW generation of actors, writers, directors, and even crew for the entertainment world. WAY TO GO EVERYONE.
