Great pictures! I've always loved Alan's acting.

I can't wait to see Rupert's new movie, he is a great actor (I think one of the most natural in the HP movies)

Okay, to start, an article about this film was posted on HPANA back in May due to the Tribeca Film Festival. It's not a TV film it's just an independent film by an unknown director is all.

Second, Rickman did not write it!!! He wrote a play called MY NAME IS RACHEL CORRIE. This is SNOWCAKE. It's about a man who gets into a car accident while giving a lift to the next town for a young girl hitchhiker in Canada. The girl dies and so he decides it is only proper to go pay his respects to her mother (Weaver). He finds out she is autistic and is a little uncertain how to speak to her. Somehow he ends up staying the night as a guest and finds himself talking to Weaver's next door neighbor, played by Carrie-Anne Moss. They end up in a relationship and he helps Weaver's character plan her daughter's funeral. So those two become friends while he falls for the neighbor.

There is also a backstory to Rickman's character that is a little obvious but nonetheless interesting for him. He comes to grips with his past and ends up thawing his heart out. He says the role is most like him of anything he's done as an actor.

There is a rumor The Weinstein Company has picked the film up to release to the US. We're all desperately hoping that is the case!!! This is considered his best work yet and there is buzz growing that he may get an Oscar nom.
