To follow-up on our last
news post on the release dates for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Warner Bros. has now revealed that the movie, (Harry Potter y la Orden del Fénix) will be released in Spain on July 20th, a week after the U.S. and UK releases.
Fans in Australia will be delighted to know that the release date for the movie has been moved up to July 12th, instead of September 6th, as previously reported.
Thanks to Harry Latino and TLC for the new dates.

The weekend when Phoenix will be released will be a hotbed of Pottermania all over the globe!
I am not sure whether fans would want the film to be released at the same time or delayed a week or so, in order for the stars to attend premieres all over the globe.
Obviously I want to watch the film first in the UK though, and get to see JKR, Dan, Emma et al at the film premier in Leicester Square too.

ZoZo the Terrible!, glad you agree with me *laughs*. We wouldn't be able to see it on the 12th anyway... well I wouldn't. Everything shuts over here on that day, cause of parades. Australia is English-speaking, so they should get it around the same time as the UK and the US. One day is not a big difference. Two months was.
They should just do a worldwide release date... it would keep everyone happy. Though I guess that's hard with all the time differences.

Well with those release dates I doubt she will be releasing the book at the same time that the movie is out. It doesnt mant sense to have conflicting releases. There goes our 7/7/7 theory.

I don't understand why the original release date in Australia was so far after the UK and North American release date. I understand if the movie has to be translated that it could take some time, but that isin't the case in Australia. I'm glad those fans wont have to wait so long!!
