In May we reported
that the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire DVD held the Guinness World Record for being the fastest selling DVD of all time.
A recent article from their publication on the feat has an interview with Dan who talks about the best part of being in the movies and when asked what he thought about the world record said:
It's amazing. I'm so grateful to everyone for buying it. All I can say is a great big thank you. It's wonderful!
You can see a scan of the article here.

The guiness world book of records is pretty lousy...half the stuff in their is false. Also HP GoF dvd sold an outstanding 5 million copies on it's first day...but i'm pretty sure Finding Nemo sold about 9 million...and then a total of 18 million. So it's one of the fastest selling dvd's, but i don't think it's the FASTEST! Another false artical in the guiness books...

I would be completely gobsmacked if something I was involved in made in into the Guiness Book of World Records! I would buy a copy and show everyone I know.

That's it. I'm buying it! Any random thing out there to do with HP in any way I'll go out and buy. (I went to see 'The Devil Wears Prada' just to see the scene that involved Book 7.

Yay! HP is in the Guinness World of Records. I was one of the people who bought the movie. I still can't believe that that many people bought HP in just one day in the US. And in the UK, six of them in a second. Gosh that is a record.

I'm glad for all involved in this film that it has been a record-setter, though I have to be honest and say that POA and GOF were marred by the casting of Michael Gambon as Dumbledore and his portrayal of the character. I definitely think Warner Bros. could have done better!

Wow thats good I guess I really didn't like the movie, but I bought the DVD because I wanted to see the extra stuff and to keep the collection going. I had to end up buying 2 dvd cause the made a regular and a speacial one. They never did that before and it really made me mad cause I got the regular and had to go back and buy the speacial, cause they wouldn't take the other one back cause it was OPEN. I was really really mad cause I didn't like the move and got stuck with 2. So thats how I feel about that. Maybe thats why it was the fastest selling DVD people got the wrong one and had to buy the other.
