A brief snippet from Extras featuring Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe was shown on the Jonathon Ross show last night in the UK. The clip also shows Ricky Gervais and Jonathon Ross discussing the episode in which Dan appears.

The episode featuring Dan will air on BBC2 on Thursday, September 28th at 9:00 pm. No air date for the U.S. has been announced yet.

Thanks to HP4U for letting us know that Julie Walters also appeared on last nights show. Julie confirmed that she has finished filming her role for Order of the Phoenix and mentions how level headed all the kids have remained despite all the success of Harry Potter, thanks to their parents. Thanks for providing us with the clip - it was hilarious. Ricky Gervais and Dan Radcliffe - what a funny collaboration. It was especially nice to see the clip because there's no telling if or when the entire broadcast will be available in the U.S.

I watched it last night on TV and was praying for them to show the Dan clip and they did!!!
I was laughing my head off. It was strange to see Dan being so rude, but it was a brilliant clip... so funny and I can't wait to see the full show.
Ricky Gervais said the new series is funnier than the first one and i thought that was hilarious!
Dan looks like he pulled it off which I was a bit worried about.

I really loved that clip it is so great seeing Daniel doing other work since you would never see him do something like that in the Harry Potter movies. I really wish that I could see the whole programme but I don't get the channel that airs it. Maybe hpana would put up a link that we could see the whole show from. hint hint Well that clip still was very funny.

Well, that was the last thing I expected. I admit it was "funny", but only if your definition of "funny" is a synonym for quirky and unexpected. For some reason, I've never really appreciated that sort of humor (and I live on a street of eight or nine teenage boys!) I agree with those who commented that this might hurt Dan's image a tad. You don't have to go for a crude part just because it sets you apart from the Harry Potter world. Don't misunderstand me, or anything, I love Dan, he's great. He's a great actor, considering his age, and he's always played the role of Harry so well. I just never would have expected him to take a part like this.

I'm glad it shows the doubters of Dan's abilities that he is a good actor - and a comic actor as well, which is much more difficult. Well done Dan.
Good to see him playing a different character.
As for him staying innocent, he is 17, there is no way he is innocent. He seems to be maturing well.

Great job, Dan. Really very good bit of acting. The whole thing looks and feels totally ridiculous and oh so funny and that makes it so good.
Reading some of the comments about Dan and "innocent image". I don't think he is going in wrong direction at all. On the contrary, he is taking us to where we should be, seeing him as actor, a person, not Harry Potter. I like the way he forces us to recognise that he is growing up. Sure, he will lose some so-called fans, but he will gain new ones.
