Toby Jones, the voice of Dobby from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, confirmed
in a recent interview that his character will not be making an appearance in Order of the Phoenix.
Jones remarked:
I know that the filmmakers have a problem with each new film because the books are getting longer — there's so much to include in them.
Jones also commments on being in the second movie, Chamber of Secrets:
The thing I feel very, very proud of is the fact that I get mail just about every week of the year from all parts of the world — very nice mail thanking me for that way I voiced the character and saying how accurately I did it. So it's a great addition to my life and a very unexpected one. I had no idea that the character would have that much impact.
The article also mentions that the character of Kreacher will be in the movie and that sharp eyed fans should be on the look out for clues that may happen since JK Rowling told screenwriters what is important to include in the movie adaptations.

I expect the story will be that Harry will see Trelawney sneaking her sherry bottles in and he'll recognize how she's doing it. I think they're gonna give Emma Thompson a little more screen time in this one to do her goofy thing and her being drunk and hiding empty sherry bottles will be Harry's way of figuring out the Room of Requirement. Perhaps.
The bright side: at least Kreacher is in the freakin' film! Ha ha. I was worried they'd really twist the story. I mean, it's been twisted a bit already, but in a good way - more Snape!! They're giving Rickman a lot more excellent screen time!

It's such a shame that they have to cut out so much of the books for all us HP fanatics. Would be good if they could just make 2 films from 1 book but I don't think I could stand the wait. I am sure they have made a good job of the new film though I know there will be a lot of bits missing from the book. Roll on the release of OOTP.

I loved dobby. they cut Quidditch and now dobby, i wouldnt mind if it was a really long film. But im glad there finally including Kreacher although he should have been in the 4th film.

Aww...I lvoe Dobby, he's brilliant...he has to be in the film, what were they thinking.
But anyway, thank God they've got Kreacher...he's an essential character in my opinion. I'm on the lookout for Kreacher...I think he'll be important in the 7th book. Could be wrong...we'll see.

MWbashfulAR, that's one possibility how Harry learns abot the room, I think that Sirius could tell Harry about it although this wasn't in the books. But as he is a marauder he should know about all secret places anyway...
Kreacher...I'm curious how much screen-time he gets...
