Update: Promotional images of Daniel Radcliffe from 'Equus'

New promotional images featuring Harry Potter actor Dan Radcliffe in his upcoming West End production of Equus are now available for fans.
Producer David Pugh says of Dan:
There was no hesitancy about taking off his clothes.
He has a confidence in his own appearance. With the performances that I've witnessed, when that boy takes his shirt off, Harry Potter has flown out of Hogwarts for good.
Equus, also starring fellow Potter actor Richard Griffiths, begins previews on February 16 and the official opening night is planned for February 27.
Please note that these photos contain quite a bit of bare skin, which has caused a fair bit of concern

Well, I have to say I'm very disappointed in Dan. I know he wants to show he be other characters than Harry, but there are many more positive roles he could do. I'm sure he's a role model for a lot of boys, and right now, he's not being a good one. I don't like the pictues AT ALL. Very disappointing.

He is surely grown up now, but I have a hard time seeing him as anything but the 11 year old from the first movie.
I'm sure Equus will be a powerful performance, and they have already sold £750,000 of tickets I read.

Sure, Daniel looks really 'HAIRY AND MANLY' in those pictures but it's a bit too much to be freely posted on the internet especially when there are so many kids who could see them.
I didn't want to see the others after I've seen the first three. They are a bit repugnant.
Other than that, I think it's great of him to take a role very different from HP. I just hope that his acting will live up to those pictures.

However, I'm more conservative and I'm disappointed that he chose to do a nude scene. I just think it's inappropriate at ANY time and for ANYBODY. But especially when he's so high-profile doing the Harry Potter movies. Harry Potter is aimed at kids, and Equus is definately not a kids play! I hope none of these pictures get to innocent children who look up to Dan as Harry Potter. It makes me sad that he chose to do something that is basically pornography. It's his choice, of course, but my opinion of him has dropped.

I know that he will be brilliant at it. Stage is so different from films-you have that instant reaction of your audience that you won't ever have in a film since they take so long to put together. Good luck to him!
