New promotional images featuring Harry Potter actor Dan Radcliffe in his upcoming West End production of Equus are now available for fans.
Producer David Pugh says of Dan:
There was no hesitancy about taking off his clothes.
He has a confidence in his own appearance. With the performances that I've witnessed, when that boy takes his shirt off, Harry Potter has flown out of Hogwarts for good.
Equus, also starring fellow Potter actor Richard Griffiths, begins previews on February 16 and the official opening night is planned for February 27.
Please note that these photos contain quite a bit of bare skin, which has caused a fair bit of concern

Yes, he surely is separating himself from his Harry Potter image! And I hate to say with him being so young that..he..well let's just say he is certainly no longer the boy from Sorcerer's Stone!! HAHA I just hope this doesn't hurt his career any.
KUDOS to you Dan!!!

Oh, these pictures are over the top. I'm not sure they're a good idea. I agree - he's too young to be putting those kind of pictures on the internet.

My son is 13. He has seen these pictures and he was disgusted. He looked me square in the eye and said, "Gross mom, why are you looking at a naked kid?"
He's right. Why ARE we looking at a naked kid?
That's why I wanted to check out English Law. To see if children were protected. Apparently, not very well. sad.
go to the site. it also says...
"or posed to be sexually provocative."
Is everyone on here salivating on their keyboards because he looks scholarly? no, cause he is half naked....ahem, "sexually provocative".
You say he looks "HOT".
ok, you just said a child looks Hot.
so, it's okay to have naked children on the internet? when did that happen?

dan radcliffe is a MAN! not a child, I am SICK of people who think that this MAGICAL number 18 automatically makes somebody "adult"
Most people have sex way before they are "adult" as in 18.
Biologically your an adult when you can reproduce. He's been an adult for years!!!
And your 13 year old child is a little boy who is... a boy. What did you expect him to say "oh yeah mom, i wanna get my hands on that hot stuff"
Come on! Dan turns 18 in 6 months. So if these pictures came out then would all this be okay, because of some stupid man made law.
I go by the laws of nature, Dan is a MAN and an ADULT in every sense of the words.

so i don't really want to get in the middle of this discussion b/c obviously im coming in in the middle of it... but i would like to say
first the law is what keeps things in order and personally it is what is keeping (for the most part) people from constantly being robbed, murdered, and it keeps me safe in these and several other different ways everyday.... so yea, people need to abbide by the law... of course this isnt murder and it really isn't hurting others... other than the fact that you could argue perhaps now others will think it is ok to break this law and as a consiquense children could be exposed and abused.....so i really don't think it's all that right i mean couldnt they have just chosen someone of age to play the part... or waited until he was 18!?.... and no 18 is not some magical number but there must be a defining age or else kids at age 10 will say 'hey, im mature enough to be an adult... ill just do whatever i want'... which leads to chaos...so the law is the law and shouldn't be broken, despite the little details which migh make it ok, you must draw the line somewhere, even if he is inches from being over it (almost 18).
also, i would like to point out that arguing about it here is really going to make no difference.... if you want to help i suggest putting your time and efforts into something more effective... but i do understand the that arrogance is stupid and annoying and sometimes... you just can't help but say how you feel which leads to conflict... but hey look at me im doing the same thing
oh yea and um... laws of nature.... then i suggest you leave all of civilization... o comp. or internet or even movies....go and eat leaves and grass and berrys.. hunt for game..bathe in streems and wash with dirt.. go for it.... FYI!!! the Law is a part of life and society!!!!! anywhere you go you've got law!!!!!
sorry its so long... im pretty bored

Oh my, this is so crazy! I know almost everyone here had replied to this, saying things along the line of "Oh my goodness, Dan is a man now!", but I have to say it cos it's so true and makes you realise that...well, yeah, he really is no longer a child!
It was funny at college the other day, I was in Performing Arts and some girls had a newspaper and there was an article about this and had a pic of Dan, bare-chested. Everyone (the class is all girls) was like "No way, is that really Daniel Radcliffe?!?!" and saying that they wanted to see the play cos they wanted to see him naked! My teacher (a man) was like "For God's sake, what is it with all you lot?" and threatened (as a joke, didn't mean it) to take the paper away! But we didn't let him, hehehe!
