Due to the recent press coverage of Daniel Radcliffe
's controversial play Equus, the possibility of Warner Bros. firing the actor have triggered the rumor mill. However, the company responsible for the Harry Potter movies have issued an official press release fully supporting Daniel's choice of appearing in the play.
Daniel Radcliffe is an extremely talented actor, as well as a great collaborator and friend to Warner Bros. Pictures. We've had great experiences working with him on our films and fully support him in the artistic choices he makes as an actor.

Well, I should hope so. For one, I would think that Warner is smart enough to know that if they fired Dan that would be the end of their Harry Potter series, as millions of people would be most displeased. Secondly, theater is art, whether it has nudity in it or not. Bah, I can't stand this bloody story. People are so lame getting their nickers in a twist over Dan taking this roll in Eqqus.

I haven't heard any rumours about Warner sacking Dan. Equus is very different to Harry Potter, but is not a reason to sack Dan. If Warner posted this comment to quash any such rumours they could have said so more strongly.

What?!?! hgat is craxy talk! There is no way that they can fire Daniel! They don't have the right to do so. It has got nothing to do with them on what Daniel wants to do with his Acting.
Also if they fire him, then they won't be able to carry on filming the rest of the Harry Potter movies, as they can't all of a sudden change actors for such a major role! It won't look right! The fans will be incredibly angry if that happenes.

I think it's wonderful that Warner Bros. is so supportive of Dan and his personal choices. Equus is a wonderful opportunity for Dan to gain experience and build up a background that will help him transfer from being thought of as only a child actor. To have that kind of support from professionals in the business most be reassuring to Dan.

I'm glad that WB supports him, it would be awful to have to have the last two movies with a different Harry. I think mostly the people who are disappointed/outraged are his fans, or more accurately, the parents of his fans. The way I see it, it's better that he's in a play nude than just plain nude [insert photo of any teenage female celebrity here].

Well of course they wouldn't be upset that Dan has chosen a completely different role. People are going to see Harry Potter no matter what any of the actors do. The story is too perfect and the actors do wonderfully portraying the amazingly written characters.

That's very good to hear. It's sad how sometimes companies pull out of production with some actors for fear of bad publicity. I think that Daniel is just showing off his talent-and it would be foolish for the WB to fire him. Not to mention anger many HP fans.
