Seriously like they would ever really fire Dan, he could probably do just about anything and they still would not fire him. He is an actor, so by definition, he pretends to be somebody else for a living. His role in Equus is just that a role. This controversy is really begining to irritate me.

How ridiculous, as if they could even think of the possibility of firing him just because he has done something different!

When I seen this at first I was like WHAT!
But of course they won`t..if Dan went they would be literally a war of all the fans. Dan plays Harry, imagine a different Harry for HBP...it`s actually strange to think about I think....
Well thats cleared up anyway!! :)

Well, I hadn't even heard that rumor, nor would I have believed it. Wait, I was thinking constitutional rights, but he's not a citizen of the U.S. Well, never mind, glad to hear that he isn't being fired, they wouldn't have done it anyways, he's too great an actor.

Those rumors where stupid.
WB knows Dan is a jewel. He is very talented, he plays Harry perfectly, he is a hard worker, and very good doing difficult stunts, and he is great promoting the movies, his interviews are always fantastic and he is a good role model. Plus he has a lot of fans that would be very angry with them.

Wow I've never heard that rumor before now. Who would come up with something as stupid as that? I don't get why people are getting so controversial over Dan taking the role in Equus. He is a great actor and is entitled to do whatever role he wants to do. I fully support Dan's role and decisions in his acting career.

Ok, all this buzz is crazy! Dan is going to do great, we all know this, and it's more edgy for him, which is always good! There is an end of the tunnel drawing near, (as much as I hate to say it) so Dan needs to broaden his horizons, and this play is doing just that! Plus, who would fire Harry Potter? Please.

That is so wonderful that they support him. He should be able to act in whatever plays or movies that he sees fit. Not to mention that he is pretty much not replacable in the Harry Potter Movies!

I find it absolutly amsing that anyone would consider such a foolish thought. At this point it would be very difficult to replace the other members of the trio, and many of the larger supporting cast never mind Harry Potter himslef. What nonsense. I am very pleased however to know that WB has decided to quash this rumor right at the outset.

Of course they support him. Harry Potter is one of their most lucrative franchises, and he plays the main character. They'd be shooting themselves in the foot if they fired him.

Who starts these rumors anyways? The rumor doesn't even make sense. If anything, the WB would enjoy the extra publicity, never mind the fact that Harry Alan are two very different characters.
Quite honestly, parents who are taking issue with Equus need to get a grip. I am always surprised and disturbed whenever I hear ten year olds singing the lyrics to songs like Slap That and other such popular suggestive tunes, but rarely do I hear outrage from parents over their children's musical choices.
Daniel Radcliffe is playing a theatrical role, and from what I hear, he is playing it spectacularly. Parents shouldn't express this much outrage at what an actor does ON stage as much as what an actor does OFF stage. On stage or on screen, they are playing a role.
Dan's self respect and character has been praise worthy, especially considering all of the other celebrities you hear about drinking or going wild or what-not. He's been an excellent role model in and of himself, and these people need to accept artistic licence and realize that nudity in a performance should be the least of their concerns. :)
That said, of course WB isn't firing him. (!)
