A few reports
circulating around say Daniel Radcliffe has signed definitive deals to appear in the final two Harry Potter films. Financial terms were not divulged, but Radcliffe is currently ranked #2 on Forbes' Young Hollywood Top Earners list.
DanRadcliffe.co.uk has received confirmation from Dan's publicist that he will in fact be returning to finish out the series.
Editor's note: Emma Watson told HPANA in September that she was looking for other work but would not rule out or specifically confirm her ongoing role as Hermione Granger. Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) told us he wants to finish the series as well.

Good! I'm so glad that he will return, it would ruin the whole series. I hope Rupert signs on too. Emma really needs to get her story straight, it kinda ruins the whole thing if even one of the kids gets changed out. It's definately not the same.

It makes financial sense - there's no way that they would guarantee the support of the fan base if they suddenly introduced a "new" Harry Potter - what would happen if he was awful? Dan Radcliffe is a proven actor, a real cutie, and THANK GOODNESS he's here (hopefully) to stay until DH.
Icidentally, no-one else could be Hermione except for Emma Watson - fingers crossed she remains as well (c'mon guys! Only 2 movies left! Don't leave now!!).

That's great to finally hear confirmation that Dan is seeing it through, and I always thought Rupert would as well. They're so awesome. I hope Emma considers the notion that not finishing the series could be damaging to her career. I think she'd take a lot of heat for that. I hope she stays but to tell you the truth I'm pretty annoyed that she'd even consider not sticking it out. How could you do 5 of 7 and not finish it out? It would be terrible.
