Later tonight in the UK Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe will appear
on the first show of the new season of Friday Night With Jonathan Ross on BBC1. Dan will discuss his most recent role in Equus as well as the Harry Potter movies.
Dan on taking the role of Alan in Equus:
It’s not that I want to distance myself from Harry Potter, the whole point of doing something different is to show that you can, so hopefully it’s achieved that... in any case, given this opportunity, you would be really dumb to turn it down.
Dan on the Harry Potter movies:
I’m going to do all seven, I was 11 at the start and I’ll be 20 by the end... I genuinely think these films have got better and better.

Aww i wont be able to see it Ill have to watch it on youtube. I cant believe he will be 20 when he will be finished. Its a big part of his life could you blame him trying something different.

I am glad he is sticking with harry Potter...ANd Emma as well she's my fave. It's just great when they stick with the whole series cause you get attached to this face for the character. I am very happy no one else could do it better!

It's great that he's doing all seven films though. It just would not be the same without him, because he's been Harry so long. Different actors have different ways of acting, and being used to Dan and then having somebody else thrown in... no, it just wouldn't work. Hopefully Dan's staying will be kind of an impetus for Rupert and Emma to carry on with the last two films too.

It is true that harry potter movies are getting better as time goes by.. And i agree that he has to try and something different.. But he can't change the fact that people will always remember him as Harry Potter! ;)

I'm really looking forward to hearing what he has to say about his co stars in his play, Especially about Joanna Christie. No doubt they will talk about what happens between Alan and Jill in the play.
P.S. I wonder what song the house band (4 poofs and a piano) will sing when he comes in the studio? Last time, they sang "Daniel" by Elton John. I don't think they will sing the same song twice. Also, I'm looking forward to hearing what Jonathan Ross thinks of this play. I'm 100% sure his comments will be extremely positive because he thinks quite highly of Dan.
I love Dan! He's such a sweetheart and judging by the reviews for his play and for the early screening of OOTP, he's becoming a brilliant actor.

Ok, first of all I must point out how incredibly old Dan looks in that picture! He's been looking more mature the last year or two, of course, but in that picture he looks even more mature than usual!
I'm so glad he's doing all the Harry Potter movies, he's definitely been committed from the beginning! I also think it's great he's trying other things. This will help his career for, as sad as it is to think about, after Harry Potter.
